Name: education-world.com: a link to an informative web site that assists educators in resources such as lesson plans, newsletters, technology, and the latest advancements in education.

Impact: I discovered this web site while searching for lesson plans on the internet.

Context: This web site can be used by any educator, whether it be an administrator or a teacher. It can assist any educator with templates, lessons, curriculum ideas, and much, much more. The site even contains message boards on which educators can post items for communication.

Alignment: This education web site is a way for teachers to use technology resources to engage in ongoing professional development and lifelong learning (Tech Comp VA). The web site is a way to use knowledge of effective verbal, nonverbal, and media communication techniques to foster active inquiry, collaboration, and supportive interaction in the classroom (INTASC 6). The message boards on this site can also be used as a method of receiving feedback from other professionals in the teaching profession. After a teacher posts ideas and lesson plans on the message boards, other teachers can review them and offer suggestions, therefore providing feedback for the teacher, allowing them to assess themselves (INTASC 9).
