Software Evaluation- Reviews
1. The first review that I looked at
is written by William T. Yates. I found this review at the following website:
http://www.worldvillage.com/wv/school/html/reviews/carm.htm
After reading this review, I would
definitely use the software in my classroom. He has very positive things
to say about the software, and how it is hard to differentiate between
the educational aspects and the recreational aspects of the game. If it
is hard for an adult to distinguish the difference, I think that it would
also be hard for children to realize that they are playing this game to
learn. This means that it would be fun for the children, and not seem like
more schoolwork.
2. The final review that I looked
at, I found on the following website:
http://www.superkids.com/aweb/pages/reviews/early/2/jskind2/merge.shtml
After reading the review of this piece
of software, I know that I would use it in my classroom. The class that
I am in at Bethel has this software available for students to use during
center time, and I know that they enjoy it. I also baby-sit for a girl
who own this software and likes to play with it at home. The software is
very beneficial to students because it has a variety of activities that
incorporate both recreation and most importantly, education.
