Word Wizard Sheet
1. Write down the word. Also, write down the page number and paragraph number where the word can be found in the book.
2. Copy the sentence from the reading where the word is found.
3. Think about what you think the word means. Look up the word in the dictionary. Come up with your own definition of the word and write it down. Also, write down what part of speech you think that the word is.
4. Write down how you think that this word adds meaning to the passage or to the book.
5. Finally, complete a word wizard card. On the front of the card include: the word and the page/paragraph number where the word is located. On the backside of the card include: a picture that visualizes your word, the word itself, and your definition of the word.
