The following are some examples of types of questions you need to ask:Effect/Cause Question
-The effect tells what happened. The cause tells why it happened. When you are asking an effect/cause question, you can tell your group the effect and have them guess the cause.For example:

-The BIG boys came to school in the middle of the winter term because they wanted to thrash the teacher and break up the school.

“Thinking” question on your own
-What type of food would you like to eat if you lived with the Wilder family during the late 19th century?(many opinions can be accepted)
Characterization question about a character other than Almanzo (give words to describe characters and find evidence from the book that proves those are the traits)For example:
-Mr. Corse (the teacher)
-fair (page 40, paragraph 1)(evidence from the book that proves the trait:)
-The BIG boys will be punished if they are late again to class, however everyone knew that the boys would in fact be late again. Mr. Corse is fair because he is giving the BIG boys another chance to follow the rules.(Quote to prove trait:)
"If this occurs again, I shall punish you. Everybody knew what would happen next day."
