  • Software Evaluation
  • With this project, I took a specific piece of software, Jump Start 1st Grade, explored its possibilities, had a student use the program and assessed the results.
  • This activity is designed to have students use the computer individually or in groups of two or three (11.4). The activity is content specific (11.3), focusing on word association and using software (11.1) that is an appropriate teaching and learning resource (10.6). By focusing on word association the software will enhance the student's learning and increase knowledge and reinforce skills. The software is friendly to lower level students because it is possible to complete the activity by random guess and it encourages students to keep trying when they are incorrect. (13.1). Finally, this activity will allow the instructor to inform students of copyright laws related to software (14.3).
