This is a website describing ESL software that can be ordered for use in schools: www.thelanguagesolution.com.

Context
As a Spanish minor, I have high interests in foreign language and ESL. I searched the Internet during my block semester in spring of 2001 for a piece of software that would support the learning of an ESL student.

Impact
I will use this software in my future classroom as scaffolding for students who are learning English. It will assist them with vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation to make them feel successful and raise their levels of confidence.

Alignment
In utilizing an ESL tool such as The Language Solution, I have shown my ability to use technology in the classroom to help meet the needs of ESL students.  I will also be able to provide those students with equal access to our classroom’s computers by making software available that they will relate to and take meaning from (Tech. Competency 13.3).
