Integrated Social Studies Unit Plan
Along with other students in my class, I planned a third grade social studies unit. Included in the lesson is a list of web activities that relate to the lesson and the curriculum (10.3). The students will be asked to search for information on the internet to complete various activities (12.1). This lesson integrates technology into the social studies curriculum by requiring students to actively search the web to meet the assignment requirements. (12.7). There is a strong literacture base to this unit. It included a bibliography of books and other resources that can be used to supplement to lessons and activities (10.6). As a supplementary activity, the teacher could pull clips from educational programs off of television such as Sesame Street (12.6).
