Webquest

Context:  This webquest was created in my Media Literacy class in the Fall of 2001. It is geared towards second grade and focuses on neighborhoods, the weather, wants and needs and the food guide pyramid.

Impact: I now have background knowledge of creating a webquest, so I can create one for my future class. This particular webquest serves as a fun way to integrate technology into the classroom. The students will learn about the lessons through engaging activities. This webquest fullfills many of the NCSCS competencies for the second grade in technology, science, health, and social studies. It also allows the students to explore and use their critical thinking skills.

Alignment:  For this assignment, the students will be allowed to work as a group at the computer. There will be a different "captain" each day who will be in charge of leading the group through the webquest (Tech Comp II D). Each individual and group will be provided equal access to the computer. This is indicated as part of the directions on the teacher page (Tech Comp VI E).
