Power Point Presentation used to present Title I Inquiry Project to a group of prospective teachers. This Power Point production was used to assist in the presentation of information regarding Title I programs to a class of future teachers. The presentation was designed to help the audience become more aware of the Title I program.

Context
This presentation was created using Microsoft Power Point software. It was designed using blank templates for a Power Point Production. I completed this production with a group to present an inquiry project to the members of our CI-4000 class during my Block Experience at ASU.  This presentation highlights various elements of Title I programs such as: the origin of the program, who benefits from the program, how it is set up, etc.  Accompanied by our group comments on Title I, the presentation allowed viewers to both visualize and listen to information on the subject of Title I.

Impact
This Power Point production assisted our group in presenting an information session on Title I to our classmates. This helped the audience of the presentation to better understand the components of Title I programs, in general, and specifically in the Watauga and Avery County area.  By creating this presentation, our group became more familiar with both Title I programs and the use of Power Point Presentation Software. This made us more aware of ways to utilize technology to organize and communicate information to others.  In doing this project, I have learned the usefulness of communicating ideas and concepts to others via media resources.

Alignment
This Power Point Presentation enabled my group and I to present the subject of Title I to our peers in an appealing and comprehensible way, via the technological resource of Microsoft Power Point. (Tech. Competency 11.2) The use of this presentation software provided us with a format in which to arrange important information to share with our classmates. The creation of this presentation also enabled our group to use a technological resource (the Microsoft Power Point program) to gather, organize, and present information on Title I in a clear and concise manner to a group of future educators.  The discipline being targeted by this Power Point presentation is that of educational programs that help meet the needs of special learners.  The specific discipline presented: Title I (a program working with special learners in Reading and Math) was relevant to the audience to whom the presentation was directed.  This topic was most susceptible to presentation through Power Point because it included information that required a “lecture-type” presentation. The Power Point program allowed us to present the discipline in a less traditional lecture format. This technological presentation displayed the information we discussed in a visually pleasing, organized manner (Tech. Competency 11.4).  By using this Power Point to further explore the Title I reading plan, both our group and the audience to whom we presented information, are more aware of the needs of students with learning difficulty in reading/mathematics (Tech. Competency 13.2).  Power Point could also be used to present information to students who had difficulty with auditory instructions.
