Competency 10.3: “Access resources for planning instruction available via telecommunications (e.g., experts, lesson plans, authentic data, curriculum materials) “
Context:
I found 9 web sites that I could use in my teaching area in a lesson. I used the search engine Google to find the web sites. I typed in “lesson plans for third grade” and hit the search button. I am planning on teaching 3rd grade, so I only looked through the web sites that met the 3rd grade criteria.
Impact:
I will have to be able to use search engines to find ideas for lesson plans on the Internet. Having a list of useful web sites will be another way for me to quickly find the sites that contain the valuable lesson plans.
Alignment:
This artifact aligns with
competency 10.3. I know how to use a search engine to locate lesson plans
for my classroom on the Internet. I also have a page of helpful sites
that I can use for a quick reference. This page will be a valuable source
that I can continue to add new links.
