Permission slip:In order to videotape students, I sent home a permission slip to parents to get their consent.

 
Context
During my internship, I was working with kindergartners and first graders at Beech Mountain Elementary School.While I was working with these students, I would also be videotaping them in order to complete some assignments for my media class.In order to videotape children and use the information legally, I sent home permission slips to all of the students' parents/guardians allowing me the opportunity to video tape them.

 
Impact
As a teacher, I know there will be times I may want to video tape my students or take pictures of them.I will continue to send home permission slips to students' parents/guardians to allow me permission to do so.

 
Alignment
Because I sent home a permission slip to parents/guardians of students, I met Tech Comp 14.3.In order to videotape children and use them in assignments, I had to be aware of the legal issues.
