Name: Inquiry Project
This project involves research and information regarding cognitive
special needs learners. It includes questions/answers, definitions,
teacher tips, etc. on learning disabled students and gifted students.
Context:
This product was created as a requirement for my Curriculum and Instruction
class during my block at ASU. It was created using a Word Processing
program.
Impact:
This information will help my co-workers by giving them tips on how
to help those special learners. It gives information such as evaluation
procedures, signs to look for, teaching tips, classroom accommodations,
legal aspects, etc. It also gives them other references for help,
such as websites, books, etc.
Alignment:
This information helps teachers know how to help support learning and
educational growth for children with cognitive special needs (learning
disabilities, giftedness) by listing websites with teacher tips (Tech.
Comp. 13.2). It also uses information given by national agencies
on how to meet diverse learning needs through technology (Tech.
Comp. 13.4). In this project, I cited my web resources that I
used, and I would use this as a model for my students to use to cite their
resources (Tech. Comp. 14.1). This
project also includes a reflection on the presentation-what went well,
what didn’t, what I would do differently (INTASC
#9).
