Newsletter to parents
This newsletter was created as a way to communicate with parents.
Context:
This newsletter was created using a word processing program during
my block at ASU to have as a resource later in my professional career.
Impact:
I will use this newsletter to introduce parents to my teaching philosophy.
It also invites them to make notes and talk to me about it. I will
use it as a model for newsletters that I will send out at the beginning
of each year. I will use this format to periodically touch base with
all of my parents about what is going on in my classroom. The newsletters
will always invite parents to visit or volunteer in the class, and also
will invite them to contact me whenever they feel it is necessary.
Alignment:
This newsletter utilizes technology to communicate with parents through
using a word processing program on a computer (Tech.
Comp. 12.3). It also helps develop relationships with parents
to encourage their involvement and to support the students’ learning as
much as possible (INTASC #10).
