Name:
Media Influences project
This videotape is a synopsis of how the media influences first-graders in regards to violence.

Context:
This project was created as a part of my Media and Learning course as a part of my pre-service training at ASU.  It was created using a camcorder and a video-editing program.

Impact:
This video will help teachers get a general idea on how media introduces violence to first graders and how it affects them.  The video will also show how children view violence and how they deal with it.

Alignment:
This project used computers and other technologies to collect information on students.  I used a video recorder to interview the children regarding violence (Tech. Comp. 12.2).  Using a VCR, this video allows teachers to easily see and comprehend the effect of media on children by listening to the interviews and observing the children (Tech. Comp. 11.2).  This video also includes clips from television and cable resources, such as shows, music videos, video games, or commercials (Tech. Comp. 12.6).
