Video Clip: This is a clip from a movie I have created with students as the subjects.
Context:
I created this movie in my class called Integrating Media and Technology
in the Elementary Classroom. This is a movie where I videotaped children
while interviewing them on the difference between want and need. I then
edited the tape and added titles to the movie.
Impact:
This assignment has taught me how to use a video camera and also how
to edit a movie. So when I am creating a video for my product to get my
license after two years of teaching, I will already have these skills down.
The video also helped to see how kindergartners think and what their knowledge
of the subject need vs. want is.
Alignment:
I used a video camera to film students' knowledge of the idea of need
vs. want. Since I am using technology to collect students' knowledge I
have fulfilled (Tech Comp 12.2).
I have presented this movie to a group of teachers in an elementary
school. This shows that I have presented information on student learning
to colleagues (Tech Comp 12.3)
