Title One Inquiry Project
This project was presented using activities, overheads, discussion, and lecture in order to present information about Title One to my peers so that they will be more aware of this federal program.  Aspects of Title One are important for us all to know because this program may be a part of the schools that they will be working for in the future.

Context
This project was created in the fall of 2001.  It was created for my Curriculum and Instruction class at Appalachian State University.  I worked in a small group of four other members in order to gather and present the information that we collected about Title One programs across our nation.  We used a variety of resources, such as the Internet, for this project.  The information that we gathered was presented to our peers in a one and a half our presentation.

Impact
This activity will helpful to me as a future teacher because it made me more aware of this federally funded program.  It also helped me to know what I can do if I am not in a Title One school that I think may qualify as being Title One.  This project also made me more aware of the resources that are provided for children who need more help in reading and in math.

Alignment
Many different types of resources were used in attaining and then presenting information
on Title One.  This project helped me to develop professionally with my lifelong learning because it enabled me to see all of the information available when doing research on Title One.  This project also made me more aware of the entire program and the way that it helps 11 million children in America (Technology Competency 5A)
