This Telefolio itself is the artifact for the first standard in the National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers portfolio.

Context
This entire professional Telefolio was created during the Fall of 2001 under the advisement and instruction of Mr. Jeff Goodman, at Appalachian State University.  It was created using Netscape Composer, Microsoft Word and other various tools which are touched upon in response to each artifact's rationale.

Impact
This professional Telefolio will be used in order for me to meet the requirements for my National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers portfolio.  It will serve as a resource for me in my future career as a teacher as well as a tool for others who are interested in the profession and are in the process of creating their own telefolio.  It will also serve as a reference for pre-service teachers to observe, understand and especially begin to value the many, useful ways that technology can be strategically integrated into one's classroom, and lives.
The Telefolio demonstrates that I have had successful experiences using technology and have plans, or have already implemented the information and skills involving technology with children.  Experiences including webpage design through Netscape Composer, digital imaging, digital video production, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and effective use of Internet resources have all been implemented in order to create valuable resources for teachers, pre-service teachers as well as for students.

Alignment
This professional Telefolio is used in alignment with the National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers Goal IA and IB.  The rationales for artifacts found in this portfolio are indicative of the work I plan to complete as a classroom teacher.  I understand introductory knowledge, skills, and understanding of concepts related to technology described in the ISTE National Education Technology Standards for Students.

I have also demonstrated continued growth in technology knowledge throughout the processes of creating and publishing the artifacts found in this portfolio.  This portfolio shows evidence of my continued learning about technological advances and my knowledge of the current and emerging technologies.
