Artifact 2:  A printout of the “works4me” message from the listserv sponsored by the NEA.

Context:
I subscribed to the listserv in September 2000 and have since received e-mail from the listserv regarding pertinent information that is likely to help my professional development.

Impact:
This artifact contains material that will help me as a future teacher.  Not only does the artifact provide tips and resources for me to use, but it shows that I am capable of finding such resources for my own use.  I subscribed to the works4me listserv that issues a monthly newsletter to each subscriber giving excellent tips for teaching and classroom management.

Alignment:
This printout aligns with Tech-competency V-A.  I understand that I need to continue to use technological resources for my advanced growth when I become a practicing teacher.  By subscribing to the listerv, I am actively seeking opportunities to grow professionally.  Not only am I receiving professional insight into my field, but I am also using professional colleagues, literature, and shared experiences to enhance my choices and actions as a future teacher (INTASC Principle 9).
