Artifact 3: Gradebook Spreadsheet

Context:
This artifact was produced using Microsoft Excel.  It assists the instructor in factoring grade averages for both individual students and for the class as a whole.  In Excel, I recorded invented student grades, averages, and the class average.  To do this I used formulas for each column (as seen on page 2 of the artifact.)

Impact:
As a future teacher, this knowledge of spreadsheets and formulas will help me communicate student grades to teachers, faculty, and administration.  It will also help me to record and average grades quickly and efficiently, thus making my job a lot easier.

Alignment:
This artifact aligns with Tech-competency V-C because it demonstrates my ability to apply technology to increase productivity.  This artifact is also proof of me using technology to assess students in a variety of ways (Tech-competency IV-A).
