Artifact 8:   Copyright policy discussion and handout
Context:  This artifact contains a paragraph on a discussion and PowerPoint presentation in class on the topic of the copyright policy.
Impact:  Now that I have mastered information on copyright laws and citing electronic resources, I can pass the information on to my students in my classroom.  I understand that it is essential to inform my students of the information I have learned, especially before they engage in any kind of research writing or as they prepare for presentations in which they may use information from the internet.  Using this information, I can more thoroughly and effectively design classroom policies that will govern my students while researching/presenting internet or electronic information as well as protect them, myself, and my school from legal dangers.
Alignment:  This artifact aligns with Tech-Competency VI-A, as it contains information regarding legal use and copyright laws regarding internet and electronic resources.
