Letter to Parents

This is a letter that was sent to communicate with each child's parents about me, an intern who is going to be in their child's class room. It gives the parents information about me and my goals for the future.

Context:

I sent this Newsletter home with each student to inform their parents of who I was and what I would be doing in their child's classroom. I also included a picture of me by using a digital camera.

Impact:

By creating a letter I can keep the parents of my students informed of what is going on in the class room. I can also us it to share special announcements, and up coming events.

Alignment:

This letter shows that I can effectively use technology to communicate and collaborate with peers, parents, and the larger community to nurture student learning. (Technology Standard V C)

This letter is used to communicate new things that are happening in the classroom with each student's parents. This is one way that teachers can foster relationships with school colleagues, and parents. A letter is a great way to communicate needs and concerns with parents as well as share student work with them and others outside the classroom. (INTASC 10)
