Literature Database

Content:   The Literature Database is an extensive site in which many people have entered information about children's literature.  The database gives the title, author, publisher, copyright, summary, and teaching ideas to use with a book.  I have entered twenty books in into the database.

Impact:   The Literature Database is a very helpful resource for teachers.  It not only gives a short descriptive summary of the book, so teachers can see if a particular book is what they need, but it also gives ideas and lesson suggestions for the books.

Alignment:   The Literature Database makes a teachers job easier.  It is a technology that increases productivity. (Tech V-C)  The database also allows teachers to communicate among each other.  Teachers can collaborate with each other about literature that will nurture a student's learning.  The database allows a teacher to grow and expand their resources.
