This
portfolio was designed during my senior year at Appalachian State University.
As an elementary education major, I went through what we call, the block
experience. The block is your final semester before going out to
do your student teaching. The purpose is to prepare you for the role
as a teacher. We have studied what is new in the field of education,
the different methods of teaching, and participated in an internship at
Bethel School. The majority of the artifacts that are included in
my portfolio were created during the block experience and some were used
as lessons in the classroom where I did my internship.
This
portfolio follows the requirements for obtaining licensure in the state
of North Carolina.
