           Classroom Map

While in block at Appalachian State University, one of my assignments was to create a Classroom map. The classroom map had to show how we plan to incorporate computers into our classroom and make them available to all students.
As a teacher, I want my classroom set up in a way that promotes learning. In this classroom, I will display student work so that students can feel like they are a part of the classroom. I also want my computers available for my students to use. I plan to have a sign in sheet that documents when each of my students used the computer during the day. By using this sign in sheet I will be aware of who is using the computer and who isn’t. This way I can encourage students to use the computer more.
In developing this classroom map, I will have a physical setting that supports active student involvement, inquiry, and collaboration(12.4). Also by having computers available for my students to use and using a sign in sheet, I have ensured equal access to media and technology resources for all of my students(14.2).
