ESL Inquiry Project Product:  A handout from a class presentation on English as a Second Language Students.  This handout listed the resources used to obtain information, tips, and other information useful to teachers on the subject.

Context
This artifact was created in Microsoft Word as a handout for a group presentation for my Curriculum and Instructions class during my block semester at ASU.

Impact
This handout will serve as a quick reference for where to locate information on, and materials for, an ESL student.  It also includes tips on how to be a more effective teacher and gives information on how to create a comfortable learning environment for the ESL student.

Alignment:
This artifact that was given to my class, includes a list of useful websites that the classroom teacher can use to obtain information on ESL students and even receive translations in many different languages.  A teacher can use the World Wide Web to learn words in their student’s native language by using one of the websites listed on the handout (Tech. Competency 13.2).  Listed on the page of websites is a site that can translate any website into another language.  This can be used effectively by ESL students for gaining information on the World Wide Web in language that the students is more familiar with (Tech Competency 13.3).  To create the handout we had to find information from many different services and organizations.  By listing them I have shown that I can find the services necessary to help diverse learners (Tech Competency 13.4).
