Classroom Management Project- an evaluation of how classroom management and physical settings affect the learning environment.

Context
This project was created during my undergraduate studies at Appalachian State University.

Impact
Evaluating classroom management is useful in many ways.  I learned effective management procedures and the variety of ways to physically set your classroom to create a valuable learning environment.  Exploring these topics gives me a good idea of how my own classroom will operate.

Alignment
It is imperative that classrooms be set in a way that is conducive to learning.  The classroom becomes the primary learning environment for students.   During this project, I learned settings of the classroom must support active student involvement and learning (Tech Comp 12.4).  Discipline, classroom organization, and routines are essential to a productive learning environment.  Communication is necessary in every classroom, and it comes in many differnt forms.  By setting routines, effective disciplinary action, and overall classroom organization, communication is taking place nonverbally which is conducive to an effective learning environment (INTASC 6).
