A professional listserv Works4me is a resource that a teacher can use in conjunction with classes and conferences for continuing education.

Context
I subscribed to this listserv during my senior year at Appalachian State University.  I subscribed to this professional listserv to supplement my professional career in the area of my continuing education.

Impact
As a new teacher and a professional, and a lifelong learner I feel the need to have support and advice from my colleges.  This listserv allows me to do just that.  Teachers from all over the world are part of this listserv.  It includes everything from tips to remembering names to helpful hints to keep the management of your class under control.

Alignment
In subscribing to this listserv I can illustrate to my teachers, administrators, colleagues and parents that not only do I have a formal education, but I am making a conscious effort to continue my education in a technologically small way.  I can ask questions, as well as get answers to my questions through the inquiry section of this listserv.
