Artifact
Copyright Discussion and Handouts:  The artifact is an overview of a discussion of copyright laws I particpated in as well as three handouts that describe what copyright laws are and why they are important.

Context
I discussed the issue of copyright laws and compliance in my Microcomputers in Education class in Spring of 2001 as part of my Technology Portfolio.

Impact
I have information and resources that I can use in my classroom to teach my students the proper usage of copyrighted materials and copyright laws in place.

Alignment
Within this artifact is a printout of a PowerPoint presentation about copyright laws.  I could use this information to teach my students the proper uses of copyright laws, possibly using technology like in another PowerPoint presentation or in a webpage format.  I could model proper use of technology by using a role-play activity to simulate situations that could be a violation of the copyright laws.  (Technology Standard VI A)
