Software Evaluation

Context:
This evaluation of the software was completed in my Curriculum Instruction 4000 class during my Fall 2001 semester.  In the assigment I downloaded "Disney's Math Quest with Aladdin" on a computer and explored the game to observe postive and negative aspects of the software.

Impact:
By doing this software evaluation, I know what to look for when evaluating software and deciding what software would be the best teaching tool in my classroom.

Alignment:
Being a teacher you have to use your best judgement in deciding what resources are best to use in your class (INTASC Principle # 9).  With the incredible amount of software on the market today, this project prepared me on how to analyize different software (Tech. II.C).  By reflecting on and analyzing on how I could use this software in my classroom, it helped me choose what software would be used best in my class for my students (Tech. V.B).  Also, will enable me to choose the best software for my students that will meet a wide-range of learning styles and their development stages appropriately (Tech. II.A)
