Modern Fashion and Intervention

Context:  I created my Modern Fashion and Intervention project during my Integrating Media and Technology into Teaching course at Appalachian.

Impact:  Modern Fashion and Intervention project addresses many uses of technology.  Students would participate in pairs taking pictures with a digital camera, using adobe photoshop 5.0, and creating a web-site with a homepage and 3 links.  In the web-page the students use their creativity to write a descriptive use of the intervention.

Alignment:
Students will be addressing many technology curricular standards when completing this activity. Students will participate in pairs taking pictures with a digital camera, using adobe photoshop 5.0, and creating a web-site with a homepage and 3 links (Tech. III.A).  With working with these different computer softwares, students will have to apply critical thinking when deciding how to use, when to use, and the best way to use the software (Tech. II.E).  By the diverse use of technology during this project and having to communicate with a partner, I will have multiple ways of assessing students during and afterwards on their performance ( INTASC Principle #8) and (INTASC Principle #2)and (Tech IV.C) and (Tech IV.A) With the paired students using computers they will have to create a plan that has them sharing the computer time equally (Tech. II.D).  Constructing this project allows  students the freedom to be creative as they want when inventing their machine, but they also have to use critical thinking by creating a machine that will be useful and effective in this society (INTASC Principle #4) and (Tech. III.C)
