References

A. Name.  Video Permission

B. Context This assignment was created during my internship for parents.  It is a letter asking permission to take pictures and use them as part of projects for Appalachian State.

C. Impact This is a great tool to prepare us for teacher-parent communication.

D. Alignment

  • This project meets competency VI.A because you are showing that you are thinking about a child's protection issues.  By directly asking the parents for permission to film/take pictures of their child, allows the protection issue known.

  • This permission letter meets INTASC principle #10.  Principle #10 states the teacher fosters relationships with school colleagues, parents, and agencies in the larger community to support students' learning and well-being.  By creating a permission slip for parents to sign granting their permission to take pictures of their child and use them, it begins to foster a relationship by letting them know that you care about their child's safety and protection.
