Software Review

Context:  I reviewed Math Blaster Mystery: The Great Brain Robbery for the Curriculum and Instruction of K-6 class in spring 2002.  To do this, I played the game and analyzed its appropriateness for classroom use.

Impact: This software review helped me to understand what aspects of a program should be considered when deciding which software is appropriate for a class.  I can now apply this information to other software.  I also was introduced to a new piece of software that I would use with my students when practicing pre-Algebra skills and content.

Alignment:  This review required me to research the Math Blaster game. (IIB)  I identified and located a technology resource for the classroom and evaluated it for classroom use.  (IIC)  Because I am now familiar with this game, I will use it to facilitate technology use in my classroom.  (IIIA)  This artifact shows that I reflected on how this software could be used in a classroom.  (VB)
