Context: I created this sample classroom map and computer sign-up sheet in spring 2002 to fulfill a requirement of the Curriculum and Instruction in K-6 class. I drew the map by hand and created the sign-up sheet on Netscape Composer.

Impact: I will use this sample map as a model for my classroom. Because of size and furniture in different rooms, my classroom will be slightly different. I do plan to arrange my computer center in a similar manner if possible. The computer center is in the back of the room to prevent other students from being distracted. I also have the screens of the computers facing outward in order to monitor student work. Beside the computer center will be a sign-up sheet that includes the student's name, what they plan to do, and the time allotted to do work. This will help to manage the resources and allow all students a fair chance to use the technology.

Alignment: This artifact demonstrates my ability to plan for the management of resources because it shows how I plan to arrange the computer center and how it will be used. (IID) The sign-up sheet also demonstrates that I am dedicated to every child having access to these resources. (VIE)
