A. Title
Video Production
This video production is an advertisement based on the book, There’s a Nightmare in My Closet.

B. Context
I created this video as a joint effort with several classmates.  This video was made during my senior block.  The video was made using a digital camcorder and edited by using the computer software program iMovie.

C. Impact
The skills I acquired in creating this film will be very useful in my classroom. I plan to use these skills in teaching children how to create their own movie.  The lesson will be based on a book the class is reading.  By creating a movie, the students will learn how to express themselves by using a kind of technology.

D. Alignment
While using this lesson in the classroom, you would have to pay close attention to how the jobs are managed.  Not all of the jobs involved use the technology.  It is very important to manage the students’ use of the technology.  Every student should have a chance to work the camera and have a chance to edit part of the video.  This is not difficult to achieve.  The making of a movie involves many scenes.  The students would have to rotate positions.  When the filming is done and the editing is started the students should also take turns using iMovie.  This way all the students get a chance to work with and become familiar with the program.
