A. Title
Literature Data Base
This is an online database that contains various types of children's literature.  The database includes information about the publisher, author, brief summary, and instructional ideas for each book.   In order to view my entries you must do a search by my last name.

B. Context
The entries in this database were made during my senior block in the spring of 2002.  The data base work was completed in the class RE 3142, language and literacy in the elementary school.

C. Impact
This database will be a very useful tool when I am in my own classroom.  I will have access to hundreds of book ideas and valuable reviews.  Teachers can use the database to choose books to read with their classes.  The database holds many entries for many different genres and reading levels.  It can be searched in different ways, so that the teacher can find the books that are needed.

D. Alignment
This web based literature database can be an efficient way for a teacher to increase productivity in their classroom and in planning through the use of technology resources.  By choosing books through this database it will make the job of teaching slightly easier by saving time and energy.  Instead of reading books until the appropriate one is found, the teacher can use the database to see the opinions of other professionals on what they thought about the book and make a judgement call.  (Technology Standard VC)
