A.  Title
Newsletter
This newsletter is an introduction of myself and it allowed me to communicate this information with parents.   It gives information about me, the program that I was with, and goals that I had for my internship.

B. Context
This newsletter was created for my internship with my senior block in the spring of 2002.  I sent it home with the children in my class to allow the parents to know who I was and what I would be doing with their children.  The newsletter was created using Microsoft Publishing.  I used the digital camera to take a picture of myself and Adobe Photoshop to edit the picture.

C. Impact
The skill of making a newsletter can help in many ways.  It can help keep the parents of my students informed of what is going on in the classroom or of any special announcements. It could also inform others of what the students are studying in class and what kinds of activities are coming up in the future.

D. Alignment
This newsletter shows that I am very capable of using technology to communicate with others outside of the classroom.  (Technology Standard V D)

This artifact indicates that I will be able to foster cooperative partnerships with the parents of my students by keeping them informed of what is happening in the classroom.
