Context:
The resource page for special needs learners was created at Appalachian
State during my pre-service training in the Fall of 2000.
Impact:
The special needs learners resource page will be used to help
inform the students and their parents of services that are available to
them as well as to inform them of their legal rights. Also, a teacher
could use the resource page to find a way to help the students learn and
use technology in the process. The resource also gives the teacher
a great way to learn about the needs of the special learners in the class.
Alignment:
The resource page for special needs learners gives some sites
where teachers can go to look up ways to use technology to help the special
learners in the class (Technology Competency
13.2). Also, the resource page list some good web sites that
can be used by the teacher to find the services that are available to the
students in their class that have special needs (Technology
Competency 13.4).
