Artifact 9: Program from Math Conference

Context:
During my pre-service training at Appalachian State during the fall of 2000, I had the opportunity to attend a Math Conference that was held in Greensboro.

Impact:
By attending a math conference, teachers will gain new ways of teaching subject matter to their students.  Teachers will also get to learn about new technology and other tools that will help them in teaching children.

Alignment:
The math conference is a great way for teachers to grow professionally and think about/evaluate how their teaching strategies effects the class because of the new ideas that are introduce at the conference (INTASC Standard 9).
