Artifact 14:
Developmental Case Study: An overview of the physical, social, intellectual, emotional development of second grade children. This case study also includes tips for educators and resources for parents.

Context:
This artifact was created in my Elementary School Curriculum and Instruction class with another person who was doing her internship in a second grade classroom.

Impact:
This case study will serve as a resource to me during my teaching career because many of the decisions that I will make as a teacher need to consider the developmental abilities of students. This study is available on the Internet, which makes it also accessable to parents and collegues.

Alignment:
Acknowledging the many differences between individual students is very important. However, a teacher must posess knowledge of many milestones in children's emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development in order to successfully meet their many needs. This artifact demonstrates my knowledge of students' development, as well as my ability to modify my teaching strategies to accomodate children's developmental needs (INTASC 2).
