Classroom Layout: A diagram of how I intend to use the space in my classroom to maximize students' learning.
Context:
This layout was created in my Elementarty School Curriculum and
Instruction class.
Impact:
This classroom layout will serve as a model for the way that I plan
to utilize the space in my future classrooms. I could also share
this layout with other teachers who are having difficulty making the most
of their classroom space.
Alignment:
This diagram demonstrates my knowledge of how important physical setting
is in the classroom for active student involvement, inquiry, and collaboration
(Tech Comp 12.4).
The way in which my classroom will be set up will send many messages
about my classroom. In my diagram I have shown that open space that supports
student and teacher interaction in the classroom is important to me. Also,
the way that the desks are configured will help to foster active inquiry
and collaboration between students (INTASC
6).
