Artifact 7:
Software Evaluation: An objective evaluation of a piece of software for children.

Context:
I developed this evaluation in my Elementary Curriculum and Instruction class in order to learn to critically evaluate educational materials.

Impact:
The skills that I gained by doing this evaluation will be very useful to me in my career whenever I am asked to evaluate and choose learning materials for my school or classroom, or when recommending software for parents to purchase.

Alignment:
The software I evaluated can be used as a tool specifically suited to the needs of the discipline of mathematics (Tech Comp 11.3). Because this math software possesses different levels for children’s varying abilities, it uses media and technology to address differences in children’s learning and performance (Tech Comp 13.1).
