Lesson from National Georgraphic video

Context
This was a lesson I created after taping an episode of National Geographic about asteroids. This lesson was created as a resource for me to have and use later as a teacher.

Impact
I will use this lesson to show students how they can find educational information on television that is also fun and  interesting.  The lesson will incorporate the students watching the video and answering questions previosly written by the teacher. Then the students will choose an aspect of the video that they found interesting and do further research on the internet.

Alignment
This lesson will use the television, VCR, and computers with internet in the school. By using these resources I have developed a lesson that appropriately uses the resources provided by the school. (Tech. Comp. 10.2) This lesson also facilitates student learning using cable and educational broadcasts. (Tech. Comp. 12.6) This lesson will show that the teacher can use media communication to foster active inquiry and collaboration because the students will find what they are the most interested in and do further research.
