The telefolio project was created to put the technology portfolio on the World Wide Web.

Context:
The telefolio was created during the block experience, Fall 2001, at Appalachian State University.  Although the technology portfolio is important, it seems more appropriate to have it on the Internet. By placing this portfolio on the Internet, employers have access to it as well as other teachers and colleagues.

Impact:
This artifact will be very important to a future teacher.  It contains several lesson plans that involve technology that can be used in a classroom of any elementary grade level.  There are several artifacts that are part of classroom management and plans on setting up a classroom.  It includes an artifact that describes the influences of media on one school in a small community as well as artifacts that will connect me with continual professional development.

Alignment:
Through this artifact, I have mastered several technology skills.  Some of these skills include word processing, scanning, finding information on the Internet, and using technology to communicate to a group of fellow classmates (Tech Comp 1A).  Although these technologies are helpful in creating this portfolio, emerging technologies such as using a digital camera and placing the pictures on a power point presentation and creating a web page using Netscape Composer were used to create this artifact (Tech Comp 1B).  This artifact was also helpful in creating learning experiences using technology.  I had to use several tools of inquiry and make lessons that are meaningful to students (INTASC #1).
