Artifact # 8
Context:
I created a newsletter at the beginning
of my internship to send out to parents of students in my class informing
them of my participation throughout the semester in the classroom.
Impact:
In doing this letter it allowed me to gain
experience in sending letters home to parents and begin to learn how important
communication is between the teacher and his/her student's parents.
Parents can really have an impact on your year with their children and
you need to start off on the right foot and keep communication lines open.
Alignment:
This assignment aligns with Technology
Competency V D. By using Microsoft Word and a digital camera
to create a newsletter, I illustrated that I can successfully use technology
to communicate and collaborate with peers, students, and parents.
Since the newsletter served as a way for me to introduce and describe myself
to others, I demonstrated my desire to establish cooperative partnerships
with students and parents.
