Artifact 10

During my internship at Appalachian State University, I created a lesson plan regarding the various parts of a computer. The lesson plan was used to give students information about the functions of a computer and how to publish their work. This lesson plan can be used in a first grade classroom and can be adapted to other grade levels.

This lesson plan can be used by teachers or parents to instruct students about the parts of the computer. This lesson provides hands-on activities for students to manipulate the computer and learn how to give a computer commands.

With this lesson plan first grade students will learn how to link to other sites (10.1). Furthermore, the students learn to identify the parts of the computer. Once they have learned the names of the parts of the computer they will publish their work (10.4). Students saved their work to a disk and then I assessed their knowledge of how to save documents to a disk (10.5).
