  • Beech Mountain Elementary School Web Page

  • During my senior year as an Elementary Education major, I did an internship at Beech Mountain Elementary School in Avery County.  As part of our appreciation to the school for allowing us to intern, a fellow intern and I produced a web page for them.  The web page consisted of the history of the school and the community, a listing of the classes offered and the teachers that teach them, all faculty and staff, as well as various links for teachers, parents and children.  This web page also fulfilled a requirement in my Media and Learning Course.

This web page will be available to teachers, administrators or even parents who want to know more about the Beech Mountain School.  It will also be useful for anyone looking for a new community to settle in.  I will use this web page as a guideline to help me in creating a web page for my own classroom and school.

This web page contains links for parents and teachers with information about diversity among children, like ADD/ADHD and  special needs (13.4).  Furthermore, some of the links for children and teachers are available in various languages (13.3).
