NC ETSI Advanced Competencies

References

  • Computer Ethics

  • As part of my Media and Learning Course at Appalachian State University, I learned that students must be taught about the ethics of working with computers and technology.  From the Internet, I printed a copy of The Ten Commandments for Computer Ethics.

This copy corresponds with the information skills NC Standard Course of Study.  The commandments will be posted in my classroom beside all computer or technology work areas and I will make sure that my students understand what they mean.  Furthermore, I will share this information with other teachers or administrators.

Before posting the commandments for computer ethics in my classroom I will discuss each one with my students, including the rights of personal property and copyright laws (14.3)
