NC ETSI Advanced Competencies

References

This artifact is one that I found and referred back to frequently during my final semesters at Appalachian State University.  This is when I truly became fluent in many aspects of computer manipulation.  These skills are now invaluable to me as a future educator.

This artifact, the 10 Commandments of Computer Ethics is found at
http:// www.tje.net:80/wise/misc/10comm.htm.  It corresponds to the NC Standard Course of Study for Information Skills on competency 4.06 and 4.04.  Having knowledge of this web site helps me become a more ethical teacher, and therefore be a good example to my students on the ethical way to use computers and teach them personal responsibility while accessing information via computer.

My knowledge of and use of this site demonstrates my comprehension of ethical issues related to technology use (14.3) and shows that I will relate this knowledge to my students, therefore making them ethical users of technology as well.
