During my course work at Appalachian State University, I “discovered” this artifact and found it to be very useful in planning instruction and incorporating technology into that instruction.  The artifact is a web site found at http://school.discovery.com.  This is the Discovery Channel web site.
Resources from this site would be used in planning instruction by accessing lesson plans on this site.  These plans would be used for science instruction and would be compatible for Discovery Channel technology to be incorporated during the lesson(s).  The web site covers all areas of science, so I would find it useful in meeting my curriculum goals no matter what grade I was teaching.  For this specific artifact, I have chosen a lesson plan on snakes in the wild and the one hour TLC video that this lesson plan is made to incorporate with.
This lesson plan and video uses the school’s television resources to support the life science curriculum (10.2).  This video has been created hand in hand with the lesson plan and will further facilitate the lesson when used in the classroom television presentation (12.6) and reinforce the subject matter to visual learners (13.4).
