Artifact: Math Software-  is an evaluation of Disney's Math Quest with Aladdin, published by Disney Interactive.  The software is an example of a program, which can be used as a tool in the classroom.

Context: This evaluation was created for my CI4000 course during my Block.  After installing the program onto my computer, I did an analysis of it on Microsoft Word.  I also did an Internet search on software reviews.

Impact: This project helped me to be a more informed, and conscious consumer.  With limited funds as a teacher, I will need to be very selective in the resources that I purchase.  Reviewing this software made me more aware of what to look for before buying a program.  I am now able to access the effectiveness and value of computer software.

Alignment: I was able to locate reviews from others on this software on the Internet.  The reviews helped me to form a more complete opinion about the software.  (Tech 10.6).  The software could be used as a review or practice for math.  (Tech 11.3).  The Disney software is filled with interactive math games.  I would use this to incorporate math and technology in my classroom.  (Tech 11.4).  This program covers addition, subtraction, estimation, sorting, math computation, logical reasoning, problem solving, patterns and geometry.  This could be used for students who are behind or ahead of the class.  Students could use the computer as another method to comprehend math concepts in which they are struggling with.  (Tech 13.1)
